We worked in collaboration with the general contractor, as well as the home owner, to make sure that the customer was completely satisfied that all their renovation dreams were realized.

Service Hook-Ups
Although electrical service hook-ups often use overhead connections, we installed this electrical service hook-up underground, in accordance with this Newport business’s needs. The trench was 150 feet long and dug deep enough to withstand the ground upheavals typical with Maine winters.
Design Build Construction
The electricians at B. Washburn Electric, Inc. strive to meet all your design build needs through a thorough knowledge of the current electrical codes and your home or business’s electrical processes. This Master Control Cabinet and the connected piping, wiring, and various other controls were designed and construction by Brent to be sized accordingly for the motor used at the McKusick Petroleum’s new bulk plant facility in central Maine. Commercial
Although we have dozens of return customers, this new store was also a new customer! It was a pleasure to work with general contractor, Don Bergeron, as his company built the new Foxcroft Pharmacy in Dover-Foxcroft, owned and operated by his wife, Gail. Beautifully designed by Gail and Don, our electricians were able to install all their electrical needs for their now budding pharmaceutical business. Foxcroft Pharmacy also has its heating and cooling needs met by two Fujitsu heat pumps, supplied and installed by B. Washburn Electric, Inc.
Industrial
Brent’s very first electrical experiences were in an industrial setting. As this trend has continued through the last 20+ years, it has given him the knowledge and experience necessary to supply the creative electrical needs to such industries as electrical maintenance at Newport Industrial Fabrication, ground testing for Earl Gerrish & Son, the bulk plant for Mckusick Petroleum and the wide variety of needs at the various Haley’s Construction sites.

Retro-Fit Energy Efficiency
As technology continues to enable us to decrease our energy demands, the electricians at B. Washburn Electric, Inc. have used their knowledge, experience, and qualified partnership with the Efficiency of Maine Rebate program to save, literally, thousands of dollars for individuals and businesses. We do this by retrofitting their existing lighting with new, energy efficient lighting, thus, in many cases cutting their lighting bill by sometimes 10 to over 50%! This photo from 2010 was taken at Dennis Paper & Food Service in Bangor showing that we retrofitted their old, energy draining metal haloid warehouse lighting with new energy saving fluorescent lights. In 2015 we serviced Will’s Shop N Save, replacing Will’s 200 fluorescent lights with new LED lighting.
